About Jewish Hilltoppers
With generous funding from the Jewish Heritage Fund for Excellence in Louisville, Kentucky, we are building a vibrant Jewish community here at Western Kentucky University.
Under the leadership of JHF Professor of History Dr. Timothy Riggio Quevillon, over the past two years WKU and the Department of History have built an atmosphere where Jewish students can feel seen and heard on campus! Jewish students are able to engage in Jewish scholarship, regularly partake in Jewish observances and celebrations, get to know Jewish faculty on campus, and enjoy a growing sense of Jewish community here in Bowling Green!
Holidays & Celebrations
As part of Jewish life at Western Kentucky University, we have robust holiday celebrations for the major Jewish holidays throughout the year, from Rosh Hashanah through Yom HaShoah and beyond.
Courses & Academic Offerings
As part of the Religious History major/minor in the Department of History we have a variety of courses that focus on issues related to Jewish life and community. Learn more about Jewish course offerings here.
Everyday Jewish Life
In addition to Jewish holidays and celebrations, we also host a number of smaller events designed to foster and grow Jewish life on campus and around Bowling Green. These include Shabbat dinners, movie nights, & more.
